Habitat for Humanity HabiTour May 26!

Habitat for Humanity has been serving Osceola County for over 13 years. We work to create a stronger community though volunteer involvement, non-profit collaboration, corporate partnerships, and family outreach. We believe in giving a hand-up to families in need, not a hand-out. Osceola County has been hit hard by home foreclosures leaving many families with no place to go. With no emergency shelter, the need for affordable housing is urgent.

If you are interested in learning more about how you, your workplace, or your church can help serve the needs of this community with Habitat, come join us for a free lunch and information session.

What: Free lunch, presentation on current programs
and volunteer opportunities, and tour of our ReStore

Youth & Family Summit Town Hall Meeting TOMORROW

TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 17th - Safe School/Healthy Students is hosting a Teen Summit at Osceola Heritage Park. During the day teens will be taking part in break-out sessions and other activities. Between 3pm and 4pm, a student from each high school has been selected to talk to the community about what he or she is challenged by as a young person, the assets they possess and how the community might help.
